Oak carries an open, flowing grain in a dark brown cast, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. At 1.8 m long, they cover ground quickly when laying. Well suited to busy kitchens and hallways, and it can go down over underfloor heating. It should settle into busy kitchens and hallways and stay looking right for years.

Installation Advice
Tobacco Oak Extra Matt is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
