Walnut 1-Strip Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Smooth walnut shows a deep, swirling grain in a soft brown tone, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Across the level surface the grain reads clearly. A soft satin lacquer means it carries a soft, low sheen between matt and gloss, and its 3.5 mm wear layer can be sanded back rather than replaced. At 2 m long, the room reads calmer with fewer lines across it. Clicking together over underlay without glue. All in all, a practical floor that should wear in rather than out.

Installation Advice
Walnut 1-Strip is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
