Textured oak has an open, flowing grain, with strong rustic character from board to board. Brushing lifts the grain, so the figure stands out clearly. A protective matt lacquer on a stable engineered core means spills and scuffs wipe straight off the sealed surface, while the core keeps its shape where solid timber would shift. At 20004 m long, there are fewer breaks to interrupt the grain. The result is a floor built to be walked on, not tiptoed around.

Installation Advice
Chalet Oak Grey Pepper Canyon is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
