European Maple Gotha Engineered Hardwood Flooring

In a bright white cast, level maple shows a subtle, close grain, with the full range of natural marks from board to board. A soft satin lacquer means it carries a soft, low sheen between matt and gloss, and there's a full 2.6 mm of wear layer to sand back before any refinish. At 2.4 m long, fewer end joints break up the floor. Firm enough not to mark under chair legs and dropped pans. All in all, a practical floor that should wear in rather than out.

Installation Advice

European Maple Gotha is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.

Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
