Hard Maple Bruma Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Hand-finished maple shows a subtle, close grain in a grey tone, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Knocks and dents blend into the hand-worked surface. A soft, matt oiled finish on a stable engineered core means the sheen stays low and matt rather than glossy, and its 3.5 mm wear layer can be sanded back rather than replaced. Firm enough not to mark under chair legs and dropped pans. Put together, it's a tough surface on a steady core that should take years of use without complaint.

Installation Advice

Hard Maple Bruma is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.

Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
