Oak Aster Matt Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Textured oak shows a broad, characterful figure, with clear movement board to board. Underfoot there's a light texture rather than a flat, sanded face. A protective matt lacquer on a stable engineered core means scuffs are easy to miss across the low sheen, while the core rides out the damp-and-dry swing of a British year. At 2 m long, long runs draw the eye down the room. Hard enough to resist dents from furniture and daily footfall. It adds up to a hard-wearing floor on a core that stays put, the kind that takes daily use in its stride.

Installation Advice
Oak Aster Matt is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
