Oak Aster Oiled Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Brushed oak carries an open, flowing grain, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Brushing lifts the grain, so the figure stands out clearly. A soft, matt oiled finish over a stable engineered core means it sits in the grain and still feels like timber underfoot, while the core won't cup or gap the way a solid board can. Tough enough to shrug off chair legs and dropped pans. It adds up to a hard-wearing floor on a core that stays put, the kind that takes daily use in its stride.

Installation Advice
Oak Aster Oiled is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
