Wide oak shows an open, flowing grain, with strong rustic character from board to board. Brushing lifts the grain, so the figure stands out clearly. A soft, matt oiled finish means the colour mellows a little with daily use, and its 25 mm wear layer can be sanded back rather than replaced. At 2.2 m long, there are fewer breaks to interrupt the grain. A practical choice for open-plan living, and it's rated to sit over underfloor heating. Expect it to wear in nicely across open-plan living.

For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
