Brushed oak has a broad, characterful figure, a soft grey, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Brushing helps everyday scuffs vanish into the grain. Underneath, it holds its line through winter heating and summer damp. Firm enough not to mark under chair legs and dropped pans. Put together, it's a tough surface on a steady core that should take years of use without complaint.

Installation Advice
Oak Coast is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
