Wide oak has an open, flowing grain, with the full range of natural marks from board to board. Brushing helps everyday scuffs vanish into the grain. A soft, matt oiled finish means it sits in the grain and still feels like timber underfoot, and there's a full 36 mm of wear layer to sand back before any refinish. At 2.0 m long, they cover ground quickly when laying. Well suited to open-plan living, and it can go down over underfloor heating. It should settle into open-plan living and stay looking right for years.

For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.

- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
