Brushed oak carries an open, flowing grain, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Below the surface, it is built up in cross-layers for stability. At 2 m long, they cover ground quickly when laying. Hard enough to take chair legs and dropped pans. Put together, it's a tough surface on a steady core that should take years of use without complaint.

Installation Advice
Oak Pure is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
