Wide oak shows an open, flowing grain in a brown tone, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Below the surface, it stays put as the seasons change instead of cupping or gapping. At 2.2 m long, they suit a larger room. A practical choice for open-plan living, and it's rated to sit over underfloor heating. The steady core is what lets it cope where solid boards would struggle.

Installation Advice
Oak Ratio Cognac Living Plus is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
