Plank 138 Oak Transparent Smoked Marcato Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Smooth oak has an open, flowing grain, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. Sanded flat, the surface has nothing to catch underfoot. A protective matt lacquer on a stable engineered core means footprints barely show on the matt surface, and there's a full 3.5 mm of wear layer to sand back before any refinish. At 2.2 m long, the room reads calmer with fewer lines across it. Put together, it's a tough surface on a steady core that should take years of use without complaint.

Installation Advice
Plank 138 Oak Transparent Smoked Marcato is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
