Prestige Oak Transparent Basic Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Level oak shows a broad, characterful figure, with subtle, consistent tone from board to board. Sanded flat, the surface has nothing to catch underfoot. A protective matt lacquer means the surface shrugs off the odd splash, and its 3.5 mm wear layer can be sanded back rather than replaced. Laid in herringbone, the boards form a classic angled pattern that rewards a larger space. It suits calmer, restful rooms, and it's rated to sit over underfloor heating. It's an easy fit for calmer, restful rooms and should age well there.

Installation Advice
Prestige Oak Transparent Basic is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
