In a brown cast, brushed oak shows a broad, characterful figure, with strong rustic character from board to board. Brushing helps everyday scuffs vanish into the grain. A soft, matt oiled finish means the sheen stays low and matt rather than glossy. Well suited to busy kitchens and hallways, and it's happy over underfloor heating too. It's an easy fit for busy kitchens and hallways and should age well there.

Installation Advice
Congaree Smoked Oak Parquet is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
