Oak has an open, flowing grain, a soft light grey, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. A clear, sealed finish means a wiped-up spill leaves no mark. At 1.8 m long, they suit a larger room. All in all, a practical floor that should wear in rather than out.

Installation Advice
Cotton Grey Oak Extra Matt is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
