In a light grey cast, oak shows an open, flowing grain, with plenty of knots and colour variation from board to board. A soft, matt oiled finish means there's very little glare, even in a bright room. At 2.2 m long, the room reads calmer with fewer lines across it. A practical choice for busy kitchens and hallways, and underfloor heating is no problem. It's an easy fit for busy kitchens and hallways and should age well there.

Installation Advice
Winter Storm Oak Extra Matt Oiled is a real-wood engineered floor that can be floated over underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor, depending on the room and build-up. For a flawless, long-lasting finish we recommend professional fitting by our experienced Edinburgh joiners.
- Acclimatise the boards in the room for 48-72 hours before fitting
- Check the subfloor is clean, dry, level and moisture-tested
- Float over a quality underlay, or bond with the correct flexible adhesive
- Leave the recommended expansion gap around the perimeter
- Finish neatly with matching beading, scotia or thresholds
